As an Assemblies of God church, we believe in the Sixteen Fundamental Truths. Here's a breakdown of those beliefs:
WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE HOLY BIBLE
The Bible is verbally inspired of God. It is how He reveals Himself to us and teaches us how to live our lives and have faith in Him.
SALVATION THROUGH JESUS
Jesus Christ died on a cross for us to cover our sins, restore our relationship with God, and give us eternal life.
BECOMING LIKE CHRIST
God's design for each believer is that we become more like Him as we identify with Christ and submit to His work within us.
THE ETERNAL HOPE
Jesus is coming back for all believers to live with Him forever.
ONE TRUE GOD
God, the Creator of Heaven and earth and our Redeemer, is self-existent as the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
BAPTISM & COMMUNION
These practices implemented by Jesus are reminders of the important work that has taken place in the heart of the believer.
THE CHURCH’S MISSION
As the Body of Christ, our mission is to worship God and demonstrate His love to the world.
THE MILLENNIAL REIGN
During Jesus' return, He will reign on earth with the saints for 1,000 years.
JESUS CHRIST IS GOD
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who came to earth in human form to give Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
This experience is separate from salvation and available for all believers. It equips us with gifts to fulfill God's purposes.
THE MINISTRY
God has called certain individuals for the purpose of leading the church and equipping the body of Christ.
THE FINAL JUDGMENT
For those who have died without accepting Christ's salvation, they will be judged and sentenced to an eternal punishment.
THE FALL OF MAN
God designed man in His image, but man chose to willfully sin against Him. As a result, man was separated from God.
SPEAKING IN TONGUES
Holy Spirit Baptism is followed by an initial outward sign of speaking in other tongues.
HEALING
God desires and is able to heal any physical, spiritual, or emotional pain. It is a privilege for all believers.
NEW HEAVENS & EARTH
After the 1,000 year reign of Christ, all Christians will dwell forever with God and have access to a beautiful, restored universe.
